I have the sad task of announcing that Jared has stepped down from RAVE. We started the company 4 and a half years ago in my basement with a couple of old computers and a shoestring budget. We got to work on some very cool projects during that time including marketing/branding, and commercials, experimental video, and short films. While sad that Jared is no longer a part of the day to day operations, we are happy that his new ventures are going well.

RAVE will continue on. We already have a lineup of very cool projects happening and are looking forward to the rest of 2010.

Client: TJ Hellmuth/Blanden Art Museum

I spent last week in Iowa helping Director of Photography TJ Hellmuth film a documentary and commercial for the Blanden Art Museum. Although I've dealt with a lot of RED™ footage in post, this was my first time on-location shooting with the RED ONE™. I must say I was impressed by the camera's usability. It was easy to operate with lots of customizable buttons to set it up for our specific needs. The menus could use a little reorganization (for some reason there's a sound and an audio menu), but otherwise the RED ONE™ is a fantastic camera to shoot with.

Client: Athens County Economic Development Council

We created the Business Remixed campaign in 2008 for the Athens County Economic Development Council, and today it was awarded the 2009 IEDC Excellence in Economic Development Award in the General Purpose Website Category. Earlier this year, it also won the TIGAR award presented by the Information Technology Alliance of Appalachian Ohio (ITAAO). We’re honored by all of the accolades, which wouldn’t be possible without the enthusiasm of our client and their trust in our ideas.

2009 Columbus 48 Hour Film Project
Posted: August 19, 2009

This past weekend we filmed 'Letters to Eva' as a part of the Columbus 48 Hour Film Project. Our assigned genre was Buddy Film, which worked incredibly well with the required line of dialogue, "That's better than what happened to me." Additionally, we were required to use a large plant and a character named Morgan or Becky Frank, a writer.
